Nursery

The Garden is the name of our Nursery ministry. Here we plant seeds of God’s love and goodness through rocking and caring for our infants to reading Bible stories and singing with our toddlers. This is where planting a firm foundation in our children begins. We welcome your little one into a safe, secure and loving environment.

When your child arrives at the garden, we will ask parents to wear protective booties over your shoes and remove the shoes of your walking toddlers.  Next our staff will assist you in signing-in and assign your child a cubby.

We will ask each family to fill out a short information card on your first Sunday at The Vine, so we can make certain that your child will be happy, comfortable and confidant while you are worshiping!  We will strictly adhere to parental instructions regarding snacks while your child is in the garden.

Children in the garden nursery are at the age where separation anxiety can make good-byes tough.  Our experienced “mentor moms” have found that usually children do best when mom and dad have a quick, confident good bye.  We encourage parents to tell their children goodbye and remind them that you will be back in just a little while.  Very soon after mom and dad are gone, most little one’s become absorbed in activities or play.  Rest assured that the volunteers and staff in the garden will alert you if your child doesn’t quickly calm… we want all children to have a positive experience at The Vine and part of that is a confidence that mom and dad are near if needed!

We utilize a pager system to alert parents of children in the garden of their child’s needs.  You will be given a pager at drop off that our staff can use to communicate your child’s progress.  If you have a rocky drop-off, we will be sure to let you know when your child has joined the fun or can ask you to return to the nursery if we need your assistance.  After worship, when you are ready to pick-up your child, please return your pager!

If you have any concerns, anxieties or special instructions please make sure to visit with our garden staff!
